Grandpa’s Stories, written by Joseph Coehlo and illustrated by Allison Colpoys, is a beautiful picture book about the memories made between a girl and her South Asian grandfather.
Coehlo and Colpoys weave together a quiet, calming reflection on grief that is appropriate for young children.

I am a big fan of this duo and hope they will collaborate again soon. Coehlo is a prolific children’s writer, poet, and playright, while Colploys has illustrated several other darling children’s books.
